Western Horse Tiedown, Noseband & Caveson A tiedown is intended to prevent the horse from flipping its head up when asked to abruptly stop or turn in speed events. It consists of an adjustable strap, one end which attaches to the horse's breastplate and the other which attaches to the noseband. The noseband can be of leather, rope, or nylon. Properly adjusted when there is no pressure on the horse's nose when held at a normal position, but will immediately act if the horse raises its nose more than a few inches. A horse caveson is similar to an English Bridle noseband and helps keep the horses mouth closed and maintain bit contact. Rest assured when you buy from Tack Warehouse it is quality tack. Remember if we won't use it on our horse, we do not sell it.
