Headsetters, Chambons & Side Pulls

Horse headsetters help to shape and position a horse. There is a wide variety of western horse training equipment that aids the rider in achieving a balanced horse. A horse chambon is a piece of horse tack with a strap that runs from the bottom of the girth or surcingle to forks; the forks continue to a ring on either side of the western headstall or halter, at the base of the crownpiece. Running through those rings, the forks follow the horses cheekpieces to the horses bit. Then they may attach to the bit or pass through the bit rings and attach to themselves below the horse's neck.

The horse De Gogue is horse tack used for training purposes with a similar place in horse training as horse side reins. Its purpose is to encourage the horse to raise their neck, free the horses shoulders and engage horses the hocks, so that the horse may develop the correct muscles for a rounded topline.

A western horse sidepull is a western horse headstall or bridle that provides light control for your horse and eliminates the need for a bit. Hackamore horse bridles add leverage and pressure to the horse's nose and their chin without a bit.
