English Stirrup Leathers

English Stirrup Leathers

Tack Warehouse English stirrup leathers are a strap of leather that attaches to the saddle and the stirrup iron and supports the riders foot. Stirrup leathers are sold in pairs and also aid the English horse rider in mounting and as a support while using a riding horses. English leathers greatly increase the rider's stability. Dressage riders generally use a longer leather for their leg position as compared to a jumper rider of the same height. Leathers come in various colors to match the riders saddle. Stirrup leathers come lined with nylon and this helps prevent stretching and English leathers are also generally numbered and the rider should use the same length on both sides of the saddle. The length of the leather depends on the riders height.
