Western Horse Bosal
A western horse bosal is a style of horse noseband used with a classic hackamore headstall in the vaquero tradition. Bosals are made of hand braided rawhide. These function similar to a bit and are fitted to the horse and they rest quietly on the bridge of the horses nose until the rider signals with the mecate reins to give a signal. These are used for traditional for colt starting both "Texas" and the "California" cowboy vaquero and snaffle bit traditions. Each of these are hand made so there is variety in what is available at Tack Warehouse. The mecate reins used with the bosal are either horse hair or mane hair .

Tack Warehouse carries many brands to choose from including Weaver Leather, Professionals Choice , Equibrand
