The Matrix Traditional Schooling Liner complements the technical features of the Matrix Traditional Half Pads while acting as a dirt barrier to keep the half pad clean. Under the saddle is a single layer of ETC, a non-slip, anti-friction fabric that keeps the saddle and liner securely in place without interfering with the horse's range of motion or muscle development. The thin membrane of fabric will flex with the half pad, rather than wrinkling like a baby cotton pad. Highly breathable, ETC wicks moisture rapidly away from the horse.
Under the leg is a thin layer of 1" square quilted ETC for a traditional pad appearance. The billet straps of the Matrix Half Pad pass through buttonhole slots in the liner to keep pad and liner together for added security. Machine washable, dryer safe, the liner can also be bleached (use color safe bleach for colors). Comes in Dressage and All Purpose.

XRD� is an ultra-light and ultra-thin layer (5mm) of high density open cell foam that absorbs 90% of the energy from impact. It protects the horse's back muscles from the impact of the saddle and minimizes the energy bounce back that the rider experiences when landing in the saddle, allowing for a more secure seat. Superior to heavier and thicker foams and gels, the XRD is perforated for additional breathability. Treated with Microban�. Sold as a pair. Fits both Traditional and Ergonomic Matrix Half Pads. Comes in Dressage and All Purpose.
An all-in-one pad with Impact Protection inserts and shims. Lightweight and ultra-thin Pro-Impact inserts cushion, protect, and absorb up to 90% of the energy transferred between horse and rider. Shims allow rider to adjust an imperfect saddle fit, or compensate for asymmetrical muscle development. Build up side to side or front to back, as needed. This pad is not intended to be used with all of the shims at one time. If you find that you need all of the shims, you don't need a shim pad. Refer to the regular T3 Half Pad.

A 5mm layer of ultra-thin, ultra-light XRD� bonded to 12mm layer of medium density viscoelastic foam provides the impact protection of the XRD with the additional stabilizing support of the viscoelastic foam. XRD is an ultra-light and ultra-thin layer (5mm) of high density open cell foam that absorbs 90% of the energy from impact. It protects the horse's back muscles from the impact of the saddle and minimizes the energy bounce back that the rider experiences when landing in the saddle, allowing for a more secure seat. Superior to heavier and thicker foams and gels. The 12mm viscoelastic foam will fill in deficits and allows the saddle to settle and stabilize for maximum cushioning without restricting range of motion. Sold as a pair. The T3 Matrix Ergonomic Half Pad is designed to protect and support your horse's back muscles without interfering with performance. The spine has a Velcro opening to add Impact Protection Inserts (see below). The elongated front of the half pad extends over the shoulder muscle instead of bisecting as a traditional half pad does; thus, it allows the muscle freer range of motion. The top is a linear quilt of ETC™ and high quality, breathable batting. ETC™ is a breathable, non-slip fabric that keeps your saddle securely positioned, but is also anti-friction to avoid heat buildup. Typical non-slip materials like rubber scrims use friction for grip which creates heat and can lead to galling. The linear quilt maintains the batting loft for maximum breathability and heat dispersal.
Woolback® fleece is machine washable 100% virgin wool specifically formulated for the rigors of equestrian use. This 1" fleece excels at moisture management, absorbing and wicking up to 30% of its own weight in moisture. It offers superior pressure relief, distributes weight more evenly and allows heat dispersal and breathability. The pile is resilient and rebounds after every washing. Machine washable, dryer safe.
